Christine Cablk > May 17, 2012 This is detail from the companion piece to yesterday's daily photograph...This is also a sculpture by Richard Starks, entitled "CT-22-Stacked"...There are actually three of these sculptures, just hangin' out by the side of the road...I love side-of-the-road art...too bad there is no such thing as "side-of-the-road" photography,,,wouldn't it be cool if we could leave our photographs in cool places for people to see? Almost the weekend...even better - almost the last day of school!! Have a great day, everyone!
Christine Cablk > May 16, 2012 What in the world?? Actually, this is detail from a very cool side-of-the-road sculpture that I pass each day on my way to school. I love the texture, shape and color of it...so stopped one afternoon not too long ago to photograph it! It's a little more abstract that I am used to ...but then again, this is what it's all about, isn't it, Alfie? OOH...showed my age on that one, didn't I? Again, thank you all for the inspiration and wonderful comments! This is so much fun for me!! Have a great and productive Wednesday!! EDIT May 16, 2012 I have done some research, and discovered that this sculpture is the work of Richard Starks, and is entitled "CT-36"...Mr. Starks certainly deserves a mention, since it is his work!!
Christine Cablk > May 19, 2012 Sparky Each year we wait for the "New Crop" of fawns that come to enjoy our backyard...So while we're waiting, let me introduce you to "Sparky"...a fawn from a few years ago!! He's adorable!! Well,okay...they all are! Have a great weekend, everyone!!
Christine Cablk > May 21, 2012 So, yes, it's a picture of the outside wall of my house...interesting only in the fact that while I was watching yesterday's eclipse, I turned around and saw this shadow of the redwood tree of the wall of the house...did the tree act as a camera, and project the curved images of the sun at (amost full) eclipse on the house? HMMM... Happy Monday!
